Brain Health, Impermanence, and Time Sucks

Hello,

It's Sunita here.

Time sucks.
We all have them 🙁
What do you want to achieve and become today? They are 2 different things. But both have a connection. And are connected.
So, what will you choose to do today? And everyday? Because we are becoming what we do every day.
Brain health- the key to having a clear idea of the direction we want to go in.
Brain health- the key to being able to focus our attention to the thoughts, habits, and actions that will move us in that direction.
We're not here forever. Make your time count!

Stay open!

Moving forwards,
Sunita

It's Another Lie- Don't Fall For It! Choose the Double Espresso's of Your Life

 Hello,

It's Sunita here.

Espresso. Double. Never single.

A summer lunch on a sunny deck with a sweet one.

It was followed by a double espresso. And free flowing conversation. And comfortable pauses of silence that were full of contentment- the type of deep contentment that does not need to be expressed in any way that involves words.

Life could not get better than this.

These simple and ordinary times must be sought by us because they make life extraordinary beautiful and fulfilling. Such experiences can not be planned in advance so we must leave ourselves open to their appearance.

Discipline (which is often rigidity/an extremely regimented lifestyle with which we attempt to control our anxiety about the chaos and messiness of life) is good to keep us moving in a direction of health, well-being, and accomplishment, but it can also steer us away from being spontaneous and flexible with our time, choices, and energy.

Productivity, focus, a consistent routine that focuses on optimizing our gifts and abilities have an important place in our lives. But none of them will compensate for missed opportunities to spend time with those whom we love. Neither will a million 'done' checklists. They just do not have the ability to take away our regrets of not being there for the people who love us, in ways that they needed, and we wanted.

So what if I missed out on a few things that felt pressing that morning. The time spent with my sweet one is etched in my mind, body, and soul. Its imprint will propel me to work harder today, and with renewed enthusiasm, and will keep me primed to look out for other impromptu opportunities that will come up in the future.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.❤️

Until next time,

Moving forwards,

Sunita

Death and Resilience

Hello,

It's Sunita here.

There is a process of healthy grieving. When we experience the loss of a loved one, it is natural to feel overwhelmed with our pain and grief. But we must find ways to remind ourselves throughout the sadness that a new chapter in our life awaits us.

We must remember that fact, as we mourn the loss of a loved one, and grieve for the future with them that we believed would unfold for us. The fact is that we are all here for only a short time. We are on a solitary journey, for which we are assigned traveling companions. Everybody we are connected to is one such travelling companion. Their loss hurts, and our pain may seem insurmountable. But our light is the light that shows us the way forward. It is inside us, and awaits our attention.

I hope anyone who is grieving will focus inwards, and find the strength that lies there.

Our strength reveals itself, and grows, every time we find the courage to face reality and live our truth.

That is our journey.

When we do not deal, we do not heal!

I would suggest listening to The Science & Process of Healing from Grief | @hubermanlab Lab Podcast #74 in addition to the other sources of comfort and information that you are dialed into.

And, as always, I strongly recommend turning to professionals for help. They are trained to guide us thorough the work and complex processes of healing from grief, trauma, mental health burdens and illnesses.

A new chapter in our life awaits us.

Until next time,

Do The Work, please.

Moving forwards,

Sunita
